Webzine
Magazine published on the Web.
The etymology of the English word "webzine" is rather obvious: "zine" is the contraction of "magazine" and "Web" refers to the media of diffusion, Internet. If "zine" is of course a contraction of the word "magazine", this term is also to bring closer "fanzine", which indicates an artisanal publication and with weak pulling published by and for fans. The origin of the term "zine" is the subject thus of a controversy. There is a very great number of webzines, more professional with the more amateur, the paying one with free, version published exclusively on the Web with the electronic version of a magazine already existing paper. The webzines are also sometimes called "e-zines".
