Definition
A type-setter is a creator of music
Description
Artist musician, it invents and creates the melody, even the harmony to compose an original musical work. The result of its work is presented in the form of musical partition written at the hand or on computer (software of partition), but can be also fixed on a support audio or represented at the time of a concert. The music written by a type-setter is reproduced acoutisquement by interprêtes (musicians, singers). Also, its musical composition can be also modified, reharmonisée by an arranger or a orchestrator. The training of the trade of type-setter can be done in progress, schools and academies of music, in which one teaches the training of an instrument, musical theory, the work of the ear, the harmony, instrumentation, the orchestration, etc... Nevertheless, the title of type-setter is not reserved, a autodicdacte can be declared like such.
