Seasonal depression
The seasonal depression is also called Seasonal Emotional Turbid HEAPS or SAD Seasonal Affective Disorder.
This depression arrives in autumn as soon as the days shorten and hard until spring. The winter disorders of the seasonal depression are characterized by: sleep disorders (insomnia or hypersomnie), significant increase in the appetite even bulimia on sugars and starchy foods, a gloomy mood with a lack of motivation and a loss of energy, an irritability and a fall of moral. It is the mélatonine, a photosensitive hormone sleeping pill which would be at the origin of these winter disorders due to the lack of light.
