Description
On a forum or a mailing-list (ml), a regulator (or moderating) is a person in charge of animation, good respect of the netiquette and charter of the forum. A regulator is generally chosen by le(s) owner of the forum or the ml parmis the members according to the following criteria: - a certain experiment of the practice of Internet - good knowledge of the subject of the forum - altruism, will to help the members - serenity, retreat, capacity to be preserved its calm - diplomacy It should be noted that often, the technical training is not the essential criterion. The regulators have tools nonaccessible to the commun run of the members in particular enabling them to erase messages or to exclude from the members. On certain sites or certain ml in restricted accesses, they are often charged to validate the inscriptions of the members.
