P2P
The peer-to-peer is a network of exchange and file sharing between Net surfers.
The principle of peer-to-peer (P2P) is to put directly in connection a Net surfer with another Net surfer who has a coveted file. There are 2 methods to achieve this task: - the centralized method is based on one or more waiters which have the list of the divided files and which direct the Net surfers towards the Net surfer having the coveted file. - the decentralized method uses each Net surfer like a mini-waiter and does not have any fixed waiter. This method has the advantage of apportioning the responsibilities and of avoiding the actions at law. The ancestor of peer-to-peer (P2P) is Napster which proposed an exchange of musical files between Net surfers. The network, which used a central waiter, was dismantled by court order. There is a great number of networks peer-to-peer (KaZaA, Gnutella, Emule etc.) with each one its weak points strong and points (safety, anonymity, speed of remote loading, vidéos, music, software). The P2P is used into large prtie to download pirated files (software, dvd, music). It is the subject of attacks repeated of the industrialists who produce these works. The decentralized networks are not easily contestable in justice, the industrialists center their action on the Net surfers who use networks P2P and the suppliers of access to Internet.
