OCR
Optical Character Recognition, Character recognition, handwritten or typeset, is a very easy for the human brain but difficult to implement with the help of machines.
In the late sixties, equipment for the automation of postal sorting have been developed thanks to increases in power equipment and developing new algorithms, called neural networks. These algorithms are based on learning techniques. There are now OCR software simple, sometimes even free, which can switch to plain text scanned documents (pictures or photos) so that they can then be edited by a word processor.
