Definition

Platform of development of application being based on the Java language, whose specifications are managed by company SUN.

Description

J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) is the extension waiter of platform J2SE (Java 2 Standard Edition) of SUN. J2EE is a platform of development which makes it possible to develop Web applications made up of Servlet and JSP and Métiers applications based on EJB. J2EE is also a specification intended for the software publishers which wish to create compatible Waiters of Applications J2EE. A Waiter of Applications contains a Web container for the execution of the Web applications and a container of EJB for the execution of the Métiers components. Moreover, the Waiter of Application provided a whole of services used by the developers in the applications. These services are enter different: - JTA (Java API Transaction): service of management of the distributed transactions - JMS (Java Messaging Service): service of management of the asynchronous messages - JNDI (Java Naming and Directory Interfaces): service of names (directory) of referencing of the objects - JDBC (Java DataBase Connectivity): service of management of connections to the data bases
