Application of data processing to the biological data processing
The term bioinformatic gathers the data-processing applications (languages and software) which exploit the data generated by the various biological experiments which exist. That can go from the analysis of one genome to the modeling of the evolution of an animal population in a given environment, while passing by molecular modeling, the analysis of image, the sequencing of the genome, the rebuilding of phylogenetic trees (phylogeny), etc.
