Definition
Protocol of resolution of the addresses networks.
Description
The Protocol of resolution of the addresses networks makes it possible to convert logical IP address of a machine into the physical address (MAC) Ethernet of the interface of this machine. The applications communicate with logical addresses IP. But the materials know only their physical addresses Ethernet. Protocol ARP thus allows the translation of an address towards the other.
