Definition
Photo sensor using a charge-transfer device (CCC = Charge Couples Device)
Description
Electronic component of a numerical Camera or a numerical video camera which generates electric charges of variable intensities according to the quantity of received light and the exposure time. This device makes it possible to generate the pixels which constitute the digital image stored in the memory board of the apparatus.
