 Red Sea 

Definition

Long Red Sea of a few 1900 Kms, reached in its greater width 300 kilometers. The geographers regard it as a sea intracontinentale because it separates Africa from the Arabique peninsula.

Description

The Red Sea owes certainly its name with the presence of a red alga of color which populates some of its coasts, thus giving him this quite particular color when the alga proliferates there. But the variety of its water declines its colors of several games the blue ones which do of them one of the most beautiful seas of the world. It is also one of the hottest seas of planet, its water varies between 20 and 25°. The watery life is more exuberant there. Multicoloured Poisson, coral colonies attract the amateurs of deep-sea divings charmed to find itself in the medium of an extraordinarily varied watery flora and of a marine animal-life rich hundreds of species of sharks, murenes worrying and impressive lines or peaceful tortoises. The tourist places most famous are Eilat, Akaba, Hurghada, Charm-el-Sheik. The edges of the Red Sea are biblical sites par excellence but also places in charge of history and feats of arms (the Napoleonean one, Suez Canal). Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti is the principal bordering countries of this sea whose geopolitical importance is undeniable. The protected sea links and water as a food resource are the strategic stakes of this fault intracontinentale of which depth reached 2500m in certain places.
