Creator of PHP.
Description
Born in 1968 in Godhavn/Qeqertarsuaq on the island from Disko (Greenland), Rasmus Lerdorf worked on UNIX projects since 1985. It is mainly known to have initialized project PHP in 1995. Rasmus Lerdorf is not defined as a programmer and prefers to concentrate on the technical resolution of the problems. With the question "Why have creates PHP?", Rasmus Lerdorf answered in 2001: "I wanted simply to solve a problem: to be able to carry out simple and fast scripts. What existed not satisfying me, I created the PHP." Rasmus Lerdorf is currently an engineer at Yahoo! in Sunnyvale in California.
