ROMANIAN
Read-only memory of a computer
A computer, like all materials comprising a microprocessor, a microcontrolor, or even a DSP (DIGITAL Processing Signal) has two types of memories: the RAM (read-write memory) and the Romanian one (read only memory - read-only memory). The Romanian one is intended to accomodate the vital elements making it possible a computer to be initialized and to be able to communicate with the external world by the means of peripherals. These are in particular the data which will make it possible to launch a sequence of boot (starting of a computer) and to reach the peripherals of mass. On a PC, the Romanian one contains primarily the BIOS.
