Partition
The partition is a space on the hard Disk allocated with the information storage.
There are three types of partitions: Principal Logics Extended The same hard Disk can contain up to four principal partitions or three principal partitions and a wide partition. In an extended partition, one can create an unlimited number of subdivisions called logical partitions. The principal partitions are used for to install the logical partition and operating systems for the other tasks, such as the storage of data and applications. A partition must be formatted in seen to accomodate an operating system. Several types of formatting exist: FAT (FAT, FAT16, FAT32, FAT32x) for the Windows family, NTFS for Windows NT, 2000, XP, Linux (Ext2, Ext3, Swap) for Linux
