OCR
Optical Character Recognition.
The recognition of the characters, manuscripts or printed, is a very easy work for the brain human but difficult to implement using machines. Towards the end of the Sixties, equipment intended for the automation of the postal sorting could be developed, thanks to the increases in power of computer equipement and with the development of algorithms new, called networks of neurons. These algorithms are based on techniques of training. One finds today software OCR simple, sometimes even free, which makes it possible to pass to the format text scannés documents (images or photographs), in order to then be able to be published by a word processing software.
