For example you can manage the images resulting from a numerical Camera which it is enough to pose on the table! For the moment planned especially for leisures (card decks, galleries of photographs of holidays, etc), it could be extended to other uses. To handle the numerical objects posted with the screen (30 inches of diagonal), it is enough to touch them with the fingers, and to move them or make turn. In fact Surface is not a touch screen, the movements of the fingers of the user are detected by cameras. The prototype (baptized Milan) is based on a microprocessor INTEL Pentium 4 of 3GHz and 2 Go of memory. Five infra-red cameras make it possible to detect the movements. The project was initiated by the researcher Andy Wilson and the designer Steve Bathiche at Microsoft Microsoft Surface is a product intended for the sale for the hotel establishments, the restaurants, the industry of the entertainment.
