Definition
Equipment distinct from the basic central processing unit coming to supplement it to increase the capacities or the functions by them.
Description
Are regarded as peripherals all the elements added with the central processing unit, which they are internal (barettes of memory, chart of additional ports USB, other ports...) or external (screen, keyboard, mouse, scanner, printer, camera, reader of support report...). One distinguishes three types of peripheral: * The peripherals of entry make it possible to enter information the computer * The peripherals of exit make it possible to leave information the computer * The peripherals of input-output allow bidirectional communications
