CRC
Definition
Cyclic Redundancy Check.
Description
Method of correction of error, consisting in generating a code starting from the data to be controlled which one divides by a number fixed in advance. With the end of a transmission, code CRC is checked. That allows, at the time of a transfer (writing of a file on a hard disk, transfer of a file by the network...), to check that the data are well the same ones between arrived and the departure.
